Welcome to the Kerala State College Sports Hostel Scheme at Union Christian College, Aluva! As an esteemed participant in the renowned Kerala State Sports Council, our college takes great pride in promoting sports in Kerala. Within our College Sports Hostel scheme, we offer specialized facilities catered specifically for men and women hockey players.

Under this scheme, selected promising players in women’s hockey are provided with accommodation and food allowances, courtesy of the Kerala State Sports Council. In recognition of our college’s remarkable contributions to the field of hockey, the Women’s Hockey Sports hostel was allotted from the KSSC in 1980. To ensure the utmost training and guidance, the Kerala State Sports Council also provides the services of a dedicated hockey coach.

Throughout the years, our college has nurtured and produced numerous talented players in women’s hockey. We take immense pride in having produced nine international players, alongside several All India Inter-University medalists. Moreover, our college has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of countless state and university-level players.

In 2013, we expanded our Men’s Hockey Sports Hostel Scheme, further solidifying our commitment to the development of hockey in both men and women sections. The participants of this scheme have brought immense honor to the college and the state. Currently, we have 13  and 15 students each in the Men’s and Women’s Hockey Sports Hostel Scheme. 

At Union Christian College, Aluva, we firmly believe in cultivating an environment conducive to holistic growth and success. Our College Sports Hostel Scheme for hockey players serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication to sports and the nurturing of talented individuals. We continuously strive for excellence, fostering the growth of future hockey champions and contributing to the illustrious sporting legacy of Kerala.
