I CONNECT-An orientation to inclusive sports participation
The Department of Physical Education,Department of Psychology & Mizhi Club of UCC jointly organized successfully organized an inclusive sports Participation“I Connect” on 26 July 2024. EQUIBEIGN foundation preresentative lead the program.The event aimed to encourage diffrently abled students to active sports partcipation as well as aware our students to develop inclusive sports events.
The program commenced with an inaugural session presided over by Dr.Bindu M(HOD Department of Physical Education The session began with a prayer song by our Mizhi Club members followed by welcome address by Dr.Rejeesh T Chacko,Asst Professor in Physical Education. who highlighted the participation to inclusive sports.Principal Dr.Mini Alice inagurated the programme and wish all succuess .Dr.Vidhya Raviendran (Associate Professor ) Department of Psychology faciliatate the function. Mr.Muhammed Afsal (Co- founder) and Balaji Prathap (Social Worker) from Equibeing was invited as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students the impotance of inclusive sports participation.They demonstarted some inclusive sports events to our students and practice the same.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr.Kailash (3rd BA English Student) thanking the equibeing members, organizers, participants, and faculty for their contributions to the event’s success.
